ATLANTA, Ga. - The Duke women's swimming and diving team closed out the 2011 Women's ACC Championships on Saturday night, breaking a program-high, 12 school records, and snagging the women's and men's most valuable divers.
In the final diving events of the championships, Duke Freshman 
Haley Ishimatsu grabbed her first ACC Title on the platform, scoring 351.65 to set the ACC season record. After sitting in second in preliminaries, Ishimatsu pulled off a stellar performance on the night, beating out Miami's Carrie Dragland for first.  
Also in diving, Duke's own 
Abby Johnston and 
Nick McCrory swept the Most Valuable Men's and Women's Diver for the second-straight year. Johnston successfully defended her women's one- and three-meter diving titles, while beating her own ACC record in the one-meter. McCrory also won back-to-back men's one and three-meter diving championships, setting the conference mark in the three-meter. 
In the first event on Saturday, senior 
Ashley Twichell picked up her second title in three years in the 1650 free. Tapping in wall in a first place finish of 15:54.15, she set not only the ACC record, but beat her own record-setting time in the event from 2009. 
In another record-setting performance of the night, freshman 
Christine Wixted broke the 200 breast school record with a time of 2:12.27. Capturing fourth in the event, Wixted grabbed a "B" standard as well.
Sophomore 
Cara Vogel finishing out the 200 back for the Blue Devils, setting a new record in the event with a time of 1:15.66, and grabbing 12th overall. 
The Duke women finished seventh overall in the ACC Championships and set 12 school records including: 50 free, 500 free, 1000 free, 1650 free, 100 and 200 breast, 100 and 200 back, 200 IM, 400 free relay, women's platform diving and one-meter diving.
