The Opening Faceoff
- Duke returns home for a four-game homestand this Saturday, Feb. 17 against Saint Joseph's. The Blue Devils have won 12 straight at home dating back to 2022.
- The Blue Devils are 3-0 all-time against the Hawks, including last year's 12-9 victory in Philadelphia. Duke also beat Saint Joseph's in 2007 (18-4) and 2017 (16-3).
- Saint Joseph's is 0-1 and hasn't played since a 14-10 season-opening loss to Boston University Feb. 6. The Hawks were picked to finish second in the Atlantic 10 and placed five on the preseason all-conference squad. Coached by former Blue Devil Taylor Wray, Saint Joseph's returns its top three scorers in Carter Page, Levi Anderson and Matt Bohmer.
- The Blue Devils are coming off another commanding performance at High Point, beating the Panthers, 21-9. The attack trio of Brennan O'Neill, Dyson Williams and Josh Zawada had a combined 18 points, while freshman goalie Patrick Jameison made 14 saves in a superb effort between the pipes. He stopped six of seven shots on cage in the third quarter. Duke used a 4-0 run in the first quarter and a 7-0 spurt in the third to come away with the win.

Series History
- Duke and Saint Joseph's are meeting for the third time in the programs' histories. The Blue Devils are 3-0, including last year's 12-9 triumph in Philadelphia.
- The Blue Devils' three wins have come by an average of 10 goals with last year's three-goal victory being the closest of the games. Duke is averaging 15.3 goals per game overall against the Hawks with two of the wins coming against the current head coach Taylor Wray.
Last Time We Met
- Brennan O'Neill scored three goals and added three assists and the Blue Devil defense locked down the Saint Joseph's offense to come away a 12-9 victory last year in Philadelphia. Andrew McAdorey had two goals and an assist as the Blue Devils had nine different goal scorers in the win.
- Wilson Stephenson and Kenny Brower anchored the Duke close defense with phenomenal performances. Stephenson had six ground balls and three caused turnovers, while Brower had two caused turnovers and a season-high five ground balls while holding Saint Joseph's top scorer Levi Anderson scoreless.

Duke's High Powered Offense
- Duke scored at least 20 goals in consecutive games to start the 2024 season. It is just the sixth time in program history the Blue Devils have registered back-to-back 20-goal games. Duke has had 63 20-goal games in its history and multiple times in 19 seasons.
- The Blue Devils hit 20 goals in four different games in 1999 with the fourth coming against St. Andrews - an NAIA program.
