Logan Ferrero notched wins on Sunday at the ACC Championship in Carmichael Arena. Ferrero placed fourth in the 157-weight class, after competing for a third-place finish in today's action.
Duke ended the tournament in sixth place with four team points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Agin kicked the tournament off for the Blue Devils and recorded his first win of the day in come-from-behind fashion against Virginia's No. 4 seed Kyle Montaperto.
- Agin reached his first points of the match with an escape in the first period, trailing 3-1. The Ohio native chipped at his deficit with a reversal to tie the match, but Montaperto matched his reversal putting him back in the lead, 5-3.
- In the final period trailing, Agin found a way to secure a takedown to force a sudden death period. In the overtime period, Agin aggressively pushed the tempo earning him a takedown to defeat Montaperto, 9-6, advancing to the semifinals of the 125-weight class.
- In the semifinals match, Agin had a chance to earn an automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Championship with a win over NC State's No. 1 seed Jakob Camacho.
- In the semifinals, Camacho scored the first points with a takedown to take a 3-0 lead. Agin recorded two more escapes, but fell to Comacho after a three-point near-fall and eventually a pin in the third period.
- After falling in his first match, Ferrero tabbed his first career ACC Championship win in his consolation round, 5-2, starting the match strong against No. 4 seed Jared Keslar of Pitt.
- Ferrero began the match with an early takedown and remained in control to earn his chance for a third-place finish.
- In Ferrero's third-place match, he faced No. 3 Bryce Andonian of Virginia for the second time of the day. Andonian acted fast in the match taking a quick lead over Ferrero with a takedown and near-fall points. The Lake St. Louis, Mo., native battled hard, but fell by pin in the first period to finish fourth.

- Agin recorded his third career ACC Championship win over Virginia's Kyle Montaperto.
- Ferrero added his first ACC Championship win and podium finish in Sunday's tournament action.
