Duke will be hosting a teddy bear toss during halftime of Thursday night's game. Bring your new teddy bears (or other stuffed animals) of any size to throw onto the court during halftime. All teddy bears thrown will be collected and donated to patients at the Duke Children's Hospital during the holiday season.
Santa Claus will be in the house Thursday night starting at 6:15 pm in Rubenstein Pavilion and Duke also will have a letter writing station in the Hall of Honor to send any last-minute correspondence to the North Pole.
Fans also can build their own bears at a station in the Hall of Honor. Once complete, you can keep the bear as a memory of Duke women's basketball or donate it to the teddy bear toss.

About South Dakota State/Series History
Duke and South Dakota State meet for the second time and for the first time inside Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Blue Devils defeated the Jackrabbits last season, 75-71.
South Dakota State is playing its fourth true road contest this season, going 3-0 in the three prior. Two Jackrabbits are averaging double-digit points with Brooklyn Meyer (21.3/gm) and Madison Mathiowetz (13.1) headlining the offense. Meyer also leads the charge on the glass with 7.7 rebounds per game and averages 3.0 assists per game. Mathiowetz is knocking down 48 percent of her shots from behind the arc.
The Jackrabbits are averaging 77.0 points per game, shooting 47 percent from the field and 37 percent from distance. South Dakota State owns a 6.1 rebounding margin, outrebounding all but three foes.
Mair Does It All
Mair has done it all this season for the Blue Devils, leading the team in minutes (34.07/gm). She has scored double-digits in six of the 10 games, collected at least five rebounds in seven contests and picked up three-plus steals six times. The Boston native's 27 steals are fourth in the ACC. Mair has led Duke in points three times, rebounds three times, assists in seven games and steals five times.
With 19 points and three assists at South Florida, Mair became the fifth player to reach 1,000 career points and 500 career assists while wearing a Blue Devil uniform. She is the sixth to hit 500 assists. Needing 50 rebounds to surpass 500, Mair would be just the third Duke player to finish her collegiate career with those three milestones.
Mair currently is the lone guard in the ACC to have 1,000 points and 500 assists to their names. She is on pace to become the fourth active player in Division I women's basketball to have the 1,000, 500, 500 trifecta.
