QUOTES
- "We just spent too big of a chunk of the ballgame not on time with the fastball. We had plenty of opportunities where we got our fastball. We either missed it, we were late on it, or we took it. That was the difference in the ballgame. We pitched well enough to put ourselves to win on a Friday night. I am not taking anything away from Stanford, they have great arms. Scott is going to be a first rounder, but we got a lot of fastballs in counts where we were ready for them, and we didn't get on time with them. I thought we started to make that adjustment in the ninth and we need to carry that over and make sure we are on time for it tomorrow." – Head coach Chris Pollard on his overall thoughts about game one of the series.
