Offensive Depth
- Duke has proven it has a wealth of scoring options with five different players landing on the scoresheet. Returning leading scorer Alaina McVeigh only has two of the seven goals as Ashley Stockdale, Maggie Kondrath and Sofia Fidalgo Schioppa each scored their first collegiate goals. Sophomore Julia Boehringer also has two goals to round out the scoring for Duke.

- Following the graduation of Bronwyn Bird and Frederique Wollaert and the departure of Josephine Veen, Duke looks to freshman Juliette Schulten, junior Sophia Miller, grad transfer Ava Cickavage and senior Macy Szukics to anchor the backline. Cickavage and Szukics are the veterans, playing left and center back, respectively. Schulten lines up at right back, but along with Cicavage can play in the midfield. Miller, who has battled injuries throughout her career, adds depth to the backline, playing right back. Kaiya Chepow is set to start in goal after playing in a few games last season. Syracuse grad transfer Brooke Borzymowski provides experience in the cage.
Next Game
- Duke returns home to open ACC play against Stanford and California. The Blue Devils welcome their alumni back to campus for the weekend as the Blue Devils take on the Cardinal Sept. 19 (5 p.m.) and the Bears Sept. 21 (1 p.m.).
