Duke aims to make it 12 straight wins Thursday night when the Blue Devils travel to Miami for an 8 p.m., tipoff on ACC Network. The Blue Devils, climbing up to No. 20 in the AP poll, are 14-6 overall and 9-0 in league action with their last loss coming Dec. 4 against LSU. The 9-0 start in ACC play is Duke's best under head coach Kara Lawson. The last time a Duke team won more than six conference games to start was in 2012-13 - going 15-0 en route to a 17-1 conference record. The longest win streak for Duke under Lawson is 11 games - Nov. 27, 2022 - Jan. 18, 2023.
Duke's six losses are against the current NET No. 5 LSU, No. 2 UCLA, No. 4 South Carolina, No. 20 West Virginia, No. 23 Baylor and No. 78 South Florida. The Blue Devils are led on offense by sophomore Toby Fournier's 17.6 points per game. Taina Mair is having a career year, averaging 11.3 points, 5.3 assists and 5.2 rebounds per game. Ashlon Jackson is playing both ends of the court at an elite level, dropping 12.3 points per game, a team-best 42 three-pointers and 4.6 assists per game, while drawing the toughest defensive matchup for Duke's elite defense. Fournier, Arianna Roberson and Delaney Thomas lead the charge on the glass, averaging 7.5, 5.9 and 5.7 rebounds per game, respectively. Thomas also contributes 10.8 points per game on a team-high 63 percent shooting, while Roberson adds 8.9 points, 5.9 boards and 1.1 blocks per game. Fournier is the top rim protector, averaging 2.2 blocks per game.Â
Miami rallied from a 15-point deficit to down SMU, 75-66, to move to 12-8 overall and 4-5 in league action. Ra Shaya Kyle leads a trio of double-digit scorers with 15.6 points per game and is the top rebounder at 9.9 per outing. Gal Raviv drops in 13.2 PPG with the Hurricanes hitting 44 percent of their shots and averaging 73 points per game.
Duke and Miami meet for the 25th time overall with Duke holding a solid 18-6 edge in the series. The Blue Devils are 3-2 against the Hurricanes under head coach Kara Lawson and 7-4 all-time when playing in Coral Gables.
Last Time Out Notes
Arianna Roberson and Riley Nelson registered their first career double-doubles in a commanding 95-41 win at Pittsburgh. Both Roberson and Nelson are coming off extended injury rehabs and are playing in a Duke uniform for the first time. It was the second straight game Duke had two players with double-doubles - the first time that's happened since the Jan. 25 and 29, 2015.
Duke's 54-point win over the Panthers was the Blue Devils' largest margin of victory against an ACC opponent since defeating Clemson, 92-37, January 26, 2011.
The Blue Devils held Pittsburgh without a three-pointer, marking the first time since Feb. 11, 2018 a Duke opponent has failed to strike from distance.
 Duke Feeling the 20 Pieces
Duke has scored at least 20 points in 18 of its 36 quarters in ACC play. The Blue Devils notched 20-plus points in 23 of the 72 ACC quarters last season.
In the previous four complete seasons under head coach Kara Lawson, Duke compiled just a combined 69 quarters with at least 20 points - 23 (2024-25), 18 (2023-24), 15 (2022-23) and 13 (2021-22).
Inside the ACC
Duke and Louisville are the lone teams to remain unbeaten in league play. Those two teams meet Feb. 5.
Duke's offense has been steady in conference play, ranking second in the league in assists (19.11), assist to turnover ratio (1.34) and three-point field goal percentage (.364, third in field goal percentage (.468) and fourth in scoring offense (80.1).
Individually, Toby Fournier ranks third in league scoring average at 18.6 points per game. Ashlon Jackson (5.3) and Taina Mair (5.1) are third and fourth in assists, respectively.
Defensively, Duke is one of the best in the ACC. The Blue Devils lead the league in scoring defense (55.7), opponent three-point percentage (.246) and turnover margin (3.89), sit second in opponent field goal percentage (.363) and third in opponent rebounding (32.8), blocks (5.67) and fourth in overall rebounding (42.0).
Duke in the Past Month
Duke has been impressive in the 11-game win streak as they inch closer to 15 wins. Duke is averaging 81.3 points per game, has a +26.6 scoring margin and has shot 47 percent. On the glass, Duke sports a +10.3 rebounding margin.
Defensively, the Blue Devils are holding opponents to just 54.6 points per game, 36 percent shooting and forcing 17.5 turnovers per game.
Individual Numbers Inside the Win Streak
Toby Fournier has shined for the Blue Devils during the 11-game win streak, averaging 19.4 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.
Overall, Duke has five players averaging double digits over the 10 games. Three players are averaging at least 3.3 assists per game during the win streak, including Riley Nelson, who has upped her assist average from 1.6 to 3.2. Ashlon Jackson is dropping 5.6 dimes per game compared to 3.3 in the first nine games.
ACC Ari
Freshman Arianna Roberson has stepped up her game as conference play has gotten started. The rookie center is averaging 10.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.1 blocks per game in her eight conference games. She is shooting 49 percent in league action, including 33 percent from distance. She ranks second among rookies in the ACC in league scoring.
In her nine non-conference games, she averaged 7.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.1 blocks and .78 steals per game. She shot 40 percent against the non-conference opponents.
