- The Blue Devils' projected starting rotation remains the same as their four-game opening weekend rotation, with Aidan Weaver (Fri.), Matthew Nochowitz (Sat. Game One), Ben Dean (Sat. Game Two) and Andy Leon (Sun.). Dean highlighted Duke's starting efforts last weekend, throwing five innings with nine strikeouts.
- The Blue Devils defeated App State in their last outing, besting the Mountaineers, 10-5, on Tuesday, Feb. 17. Bobby Marsh led Duke with 3 RBI, while four other Blue Devils also registered at least one RBI. Eight different Duke arms toed the rubber, with Marcello Mastroianni earning his first win of the season.
- Head coach Corey Muscara made his Duke debut last weekend against Maine, helping lead Duke to three wins. Muscara, known as "Moose" around the program, brings 15 years of collegiate coaching experience to Durham, including the last four seasons as an assistant coach at Wake Forest.
- Duke's staff is rounded out by Scott Loiseau (associate head coach), Matt Wessinger (hitting coach), Will Craig (recruiting coordinator), Sean Fisher (player development), Sean Coveny (analytics) and Mickey Bassett (baseball operations).
- Duke opened the 2026 season with three wins across two doubleheaders against Maine on Feb. 13 and 14. The Blue Devils started the season with a win, 8-3, and swept the Saturday doubleheader, 3-0 and 7-1, while dropping the first nightcap, 4-3, for the lone loss of the weekend.
- Ben Dean highlighted Duke's pitching rotation, starting the third game of the weekend and throwing five shutout innings. The sophomore struck out nine batters and allowed only one hit, a double to the second batter of the game, to earn his first win as a Blue Devil.
- Aidan Weaver and Jack Hedrick were the other two arms to log victories during opening weekend. Weaver was Duke's Opening Day starter and went five innings, allowing only two run, while striking out four. Hedrick pitched four strong innings in the final game of the four-game set, giving up a single hit and punching out five.
- The 2026 roster has been completely revamped, with only one position player in the starting lineup from Duke's final game of 2025 remaining (Tyler Albright) and only seven total pitchers returning.
