Duke looks to continue its win streak Sunday at Clemson. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m., on ESPN2. The lone unbeaten team in ACC play, Duke has won 17 straight, is 20-6 overall and 15-0 in league action. Its last loss came Dec. 4 against LSU. Duke's 15 ACC victories are tied for the most in a season under head coach Kara Lawson. The Blue Devils have won at least 15 conference games in six other seasons (1998-99, 2001-02, 2002-03, 2003-04, 2011-12, 2012-13).
The 17-game win streak is the longest under Lawson and currently ranks tied for fourth among all Division I women's basketball teams. The next longest win streak in Duke women's basketball history is 20 games, most recently in 2010-11.
Duke's six losses are against the current NET No. 5 LSU, No. 2 UCLA, No. 3 South Carolina, No. 20 West Virginia, No. 31 Baylor and No. 75 South Florida. The Blue Devils are led on offense by sophomore Toby Fournier's 17.8 points per game. Taina Mair is averaging 11.3 points, 5.5 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game. Ashlon Jackson is playing both ends of the court at an elite level, dropping 11.9 points per game, a team-best 54 three-pointers and 4.6 assists per game, while drawing the toughest perimeter defensive matchup for Duke's elite defense. Fournier, Arianna Roberson and Delaney Thomas lead the charge on the glass, averaging 8.2, 6.1 and 5.7 rebounds per game, respectively. Thomas also contributes 10.3 points per game on a team-high 63 percent shooting, while Roberson adds 9.3 points and 1.2 blocks per game. Fournier is the top rim protector, averaging 2.2 blocks per game.
Duke and Clemson meet for the 80th time with the Blue Devils sporting a 45-34 lead in the series. The Blue Devils are 18-18 all-time in true road games and are 3-1 overall versus the Tigers under Lawson. Duke's last trip to Clemson ended in an 80-64 setback.
Last Time Out Notes
Duke defeated NC State Thursday night, 83-65, to push its win streak to 17 games. The 18-point victory was the largest margin of victory over the Wolfpack since a 31-point win in 2010.
Taina Mair registered a career-high 11 rebounds, while Ashlon Jackson recorded a career-best seven steals. Mair also dished nine assists
Toby Fournier, scoring 26 points, recorded her 13th game against an ACC opponent with at least 20 points. She also had 12 rebounds for her seventh double-double of season.
Chart Climbers
Duke senior point guard is climbing her way up both the Duke and ACC charts. With nine assists against NC State, Mair took over sole possession of ninth on the ACC career assists chart with 618.
In three seasons at Duke, Mair has 401 assists, leaving her 12 shy of climbing into the top 10 in Duke history.
Mair has 144 assists on the season and needs just two to tie for 10th in Duke single-season history and just 10 away from tying for fifth.
Ashlon Jackson has 216 career three-pointers and needs just six more to tie Abby Waner for third all-time at Duke.
Fantastic Finishers
The Blue Devils have been strong finishers overall during this 17-game win streak, outscoring opponents 351-247 in the fourth quarter. In the 15 ACC contests, Duke holds a 307-220 edge in fourth-quarter scoring.
Duke has outscored 14 of its 17 opponents in the final frame during the win streak and holds a +6.1 point margin in the final 10 minutes in that stretch. Against Louisville, the Blue Devils held the Cardinals to just 2-of-12 from the field in the final 8:27 of the fourth quarter. Versus North Carolina, Duke did not commit a turnover in the fourth quarter, while forcing the Tar Heels into five. Most recently, Duke outscored NC State, 27-17, in the final stanza.
Inside the ACC
The Blue Devils have been firing on both ends of the court and are the only team to rank in the top six of the major statistics in conference play.
Duke's offense has been steady in conference play, ranking first in scoring margin (23.6), assists (18.1) and field goal percentage (.468), third in scoring offense (78.9) and fifth in three-point percentage (.346).
Individually on offense, Toby Fournier ranks third in the league scoring average at 18.5 points per game. Taina Mair (5.6) and Ashlon Jackson (5.1) are third and fourth in assists. Duke is the lone team among all Power 4 schools to have six players averaging double-digit scoring in league play.
Defensively, Duke is one of the best in the ACC. The Blue Devils lead the league in scoring defense (55.3), opponent three-point percentage (.250), are second in opponent field goal percentage (.363), overall rebounding (41.4), in opponent rebounding (33.5) and blocks (6.00) and third in turnover margin (3.87).
We're Going Streaking
Duke's 17-game win streak currently stands tied for fourth among Division I programs. The Blue Devils also have won 22 straight against ACC opponents overall with the last loss coming Feb. 20, 2025 against Louisville. Duke has been dominant throughout the win streak, trailing for just 47:33 in the 680 minutes. The Blue Devils led wire-to-wire in six of the games.
The Blue Devils have been impressive in this stretch, averaging 79.8 points per game, posting a +25.1 scoring margin and shooting 47 percent. On the glass, Duke sports a +8.8 rebounding margin.
Defensively, the Blue Devils are holding opponents to just 54.7 points per game, 36 percent shooting and forcing 18.2 turnovers per game.
Defensively, Jackson regularly draws the toughest matchup on the perimeter for the Blue Devils. Athletic and smart, Jackson has been outstanding this year and put on a show against Virginia and Georgia Tech.
Jackson helped hold Virginia's top scorer, Kymora Johnson, to 13 points and zero assists. She entered the game averaging 18.4 and 6.5. It marked the first time Johnson did not record an assist in a game in her career.
Georgia Tech leading scorer Talayah Walker was kept to five points and one rebound after entering the game averaging 23.2 points per game against ACC squads and 16.8 points and 6.1 rebounds overall on the 2025-26 season. Walker shot .090 for the game, well below her .454 season average.
Jackson has helped the Blue Devils hold seven of their opponents during the win streak to under 35 percent shooting for a game and six teams under 50 points in 40 minutes of basketball.
Mair Does It All
Mair has done it all this season for the Blue Devils. She has scored double-digits in 13 of the 26 games, collected at least five rebounds in 16 contests, including 10 at Cal and 11 versus NC State, and picked up three-plus steals 11 times. The Boston native's 64 steals are third in the ACC. Mair has led Duke in points six times, rebounds five times, assists in 16 games and steals 10 times.
With 19 points and three assists at South Florida, Mair became the fifth player to reach 1,000 career points and 500 career assists while wearing a Blue Devil uniform. She is the sixth to hit 500 assists to became the third Blue Devil to finish her collegiate career at Duke with those three milestones.
Currently, Mair and Kymora Johnson of UVA are the lone two guards in the ACC to have 1,000 points and 500 assists. Mair is ninth in ACC history with 618 assists. She is 12 assists away from tying for 10th in Duke career history despite just playing three seasons. She needs two more assists to tie for 10th in Duke single-season history.
