QUICK HITS
- Duke hits the road for the first time this season after playing its first nine games at home. The Blue Devils travel to UNC Wilmington on Tuesday, Feb. 24, for a 4 p.m. first pitch
- The Blue Devils are projected to start Jordan Regulski for the second consecutive midweek. The freshman threw 0.1 innings in his first career start, allowing three runs, but Duke head coach Corey Muscara has expressed the importance of allowing the high-octane arm to gain in-game experience, regardless of outcome.
- Muscara, known as "Moose" around the program, brings 15 years of collegiate coaching experience to Durham, including the last four seasons as an assistant coach at Wake Forest.
- Duke's staff is rounded out by Scott Loiseau (associate head coach), Matt Wessinger (hitting coach), Will Craig (recruiting coordinator), Sean Fisher (pitching coach), Sean Coveny (analytics) and Mickey Bassett (baseball operations).
- Duke announced the hire of Mike Salvino as the program's general manager on Feb. 23. Salvino steps into the role with a goal of building championship teams while also mentoring student-athletes on how to grow their personal brands and prepare for professional careers beyond the game.
- The Blue Devils took three of four from Milwaukee in their weekend series, besting the Panthers, 20-3, on Friday, winning 10-8 in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader, and securing the series with a 6-1 victory on Sunday.Â
- Andy Leon highlighted the weekend on the mound with four no-hit innings, earning the win in a designated bullpen game. The graduate faced just one over the minimum, after hitting a batter in the first inning, and struck out seven.
- RJ Hamilton continued the strong start to his season, starting at second base in all four games against the Panthers. The junior hit .364, with a .955 OPS, and posted six RBI. Hamilton only struck out twice, worked three walks and swiped three bags to increase his season total to six.
- Aidan Weaver and Marcello Mastroianni were the other two arms to log victories during the series with Milwaukee. Weaver continued to impress as Duke's Friday starter, throwing five innings, while punching out nine and allowing just two runs. Mastroianni earned the win out of the bullpen in Duke's 10-8 win on Saturday, pitching two strong innings and giving up a single run on one hit.
- The 2026 roster has been completely revamped, with only one position player in the starting lineup from Duke's final game of 2025 remaining (Tyler Albright) and only seven total pitchers returning.
