DURHAM, N.C. – Duke track and field is back in action this weekend, heading up Tobacco Road to compete at the Raleigh Relays. The three-day meet will be contested March 26-28 at the Paul Durr Track & Field Facility.

WHAT TO KNOW:
- Senior Matthew Prebola earned ACC Men's Outdoor Field Performer of the Week honors following a standout showing in the men's javelin at the High Point Bob Davidson Team Challenge this past weekend. Prebola turned in a personal best to claim the first-place finish, launching the javelin 70.29m (230-7 feet) en route to winning the event by more than 23 feet. His mark currently ranks first in the ACC and No. 5 nationally.
- The Blue Devils will be represented by 74 student-athletes this weekend competing across a multitude of different track and field events.
- Competition opens Thursday at 9:30 a.m., in the women's shot put, with the men's 1500m set for 4:05 p.m. Action resumes Friday in the women's discus (10 a.m.) and women's 100m hurdles (10:45 a.m.), while the Saturday slate gets going with the men's hammer throw (9:30 a.m.) and women's 4x100m relay (11:15 a.m.).
- Duke features six student-athletes currently ranked in the top 25 in their respective events: Andres Langston (3rd- 400mH), Gianna Locci (4th – long jump), Julia Magliaro (17th – javelin), Allison Neiders (11th – pole vault), Matthew Prebola (4th – javelin) and TJ Rowan (12th – pole vault).
LAST TIME OUT:
- Event wins in the men's 110-meter hurdles, men's and women's 400-meter hurdles, women's 200 meters, men's javelin and women's long jump at the High Point Bob Davidson Team Challenge headlined the opening weekend of outdoor competition season for Duke track and field.
- In addition to winning six events, the Blue Devils collected 16 podium finishes and 22 top-five placements across the two-day meet. As teams, the women placed third with 90 points while the men took fourth with 80 points.
- Gianna Locci and Prebola led the charge for the Duke field events with first-place finishes in the women's long jump and men's javelin, respectively. On the track, the Blue Devils swept the men's and women's 400m hurdles courtesy of strong races by Andres Langston and Johrdyn Tarpeh, while also earning wins in the 200m (Taylor Aska) and 110m hurdles (Michael Scherk).
