WEYMOUTH, MASS. – The No. 43 Duke men's tennis team rolled past Boston College 5-0 on Sunday morning at the Weymouth Club. The Blue Devils evened their record at 7-7 overall and 2-2 in ACC action.

With Duke ahead 3-0, Gerard Planelles Ripoll and Saahith Jayaraman finished singles victories simultaneously to give the Blue Devils a 5-0 win.

Cooper Williams and Pedro Rodenas won in doubles to give Rodenas 26 league doubles triumphs, tied for the sixthmost in Duke history.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Boston College earned the first doubles decision as Aidan Pack and Matthew Overvelde topped Gerard Planelles Ripoll and Dylan Long 6-3 on court two. The Duke duo led 2-1 before the Eagles turned it around into a 4-3 lead and finished off the set.
On court three, Teddy Truwit and Saahith Jayaraman picked up a 6-2 win against Luke Levanat and Lukas Rais to even the doubles action. The Blue Devils jumped ahead 4-1 and did not allow Boston College back in the match.
The Blue Devils' 11th-ranked duo of Pedro Rodenas and Cooper Williams came back to defeat Liam O'Leary and Matvey Greschner 6-3 to give Duke the doubles point. Duke trailed 3-2 in the set, but ripped through the last four games for the match.
Rodenas made it 2-0 Duke as he breezed by Greschner, 6-2, 6-1, on court one. Rodenas is up to 91 career singles victories, nine shy of entering Duke's 100-win club. He also picked up his 27th career ACC triumph, one shy of tying for the ninth most in program history.
Long earned his second ACC win of the campaign and increased Duke's lead to 3-0 by topping Matthew Carioscia, 6-2, 6-0, on court four.
Planelles Ripoll and Jayaraman finished simultaneously to make it a 5-0 final. Planelles Ripoll downed Overvelde 6-4, 6-0 on three while Jayaraman defeated Levanat 6-1, 6-2 on five.

The Blue Devils travel to Virginia for a 3 p.m. Friday match against No. 3 Virginia and a 1 p.m. Sunday contest versus Virginia Tech.
