DURHAM, N.C. – No. 23 Duke softball is set to battle No. 12 Virginia in a three-game conference series beginning Thursday at Smith Family Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
Duke (25-11, 10-2 ACC) closes out its seven-game homestand this weekend after hosting No. 19 Stanford and Campbell. The Blue Devils secured their fourth conference series victory after a thrilling 17-14 walkoff win over the Cardinal Sunday afternoon. Duke collected eight home runs from five Blue Devils to account for 16 of Duke's 17 runs. The eight home runs marked a season-high for the Blue Devils and the most in a game since the Blue Devils launched 10 against James Madison on April 12, 2022.
The Blue Devils then rolled past Campbell, 7-1, Tuesday night as graduate student
Tyrina Jones and redshirt junior
Jessica Oakland blasted two-run home runs to guide the offense. The duo combined to drive in five of the seven Duke runs while batting 1-for-3 and 2-for-4, respectively.

Virginia enters the series with a 31-3 overall record and 9-2 mark in ACC play. The Cavaliers are looking for their fifth-straight series win this season after taking the series over North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Syracuse and Pitt. Macee Eaton (.491) and Bella Cabral (.411) are both hitting above .400 on the season to pace the Virginia offense. The pitching staff continues to deliver for the Hoos, ranking first in the league in ERA (2.48), strikeout-to-walk ratio (2.89) and hits allowed per 7.0 innings (5.20).
