DURHAM, N.C. – Duke track and field is back on its home turf this weekend, with the Blue Devils set to host the first of two home meets this season – the Duke Invitational – Apr. 8-11 at Morris Williams Stadium.
The men's decathlon and women's heptathlon will be contested the first two days of the meet beginning Wednesday at noon, while track and field events are slated to get going Friday morning (9:30 a.m.) and run through Saturday evening.

WHAT TO KNOW:
- Duke features 78 student-athletes competing across a multitude of track and field events.
- The Blue Devils will honor their seniors and graduate students this weekend for their accomplishments and contributions to the program. The celebration will take place Saturday, Apr. 11 at 11:30 a.m.
- Sophomore Braelyn Baker garnered ACC Women's Outdoor Track Performer of the Week honors Mar. 31, following a pair of phenomenal races at the Raleigh Relays. Baker represented the Blue Devils in the women's 400-meter dash and 400 hurdles and turned in top-two placements in both events.
- The Carnation, Washington, standout clocked 50.80 en route to securing the win and slotting herself atop the program charts. Her 400 time also dismantled the meet and facility records. In the 400 hurdles, Baker hit the tape in a personal best of 55.77 to earn the second-place finish and move into a tie for No. 2 all-time in program history. Baker's times ranked first and second in the NCAA, respectively, at the time of the races.
- Duke's women currently rank 21st in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Week 2 poll. The Blue Devils debuted at No. 3 in the first poll of the outdoor season (Mar. 31), marking the highest in-season ranking in program lore.
- In the EventSquad rankings, the Blue Devil women are currently fourth in the 10,000 meters, fifth in the 400 and ninth in the 800 meters.
- Duke features six student-athletes currently ranked in the top 25 in their respective events: Braelyn Baker (3rd – 400m; 6th – 400mH), Maya Collins (18th – 100m), Andres Langston (16th – 400mH), Matthew Prebola (14th – javelin), Lauren Tolbert (7th – 400m; 19th – 800m) and Gemma Tutton (20th – pole vault).
LAST TIME OUT:
- Duke track and field delivered a strong showing at the Raleigh Relays, with four event wins,15 podium finishes and a handful of top-five program marks highlighting the weekend.
- The Blue Devil sprints spearheaded the weekend efforts as Baker (400 meters), Collins (100 meters) and Tolbert (800 meters) combined for three of the team's first-place finishes. Tutton led the way for Duke field events with a victory in the women's pole vault invite.
- Baker, senior Gianna Locci (long jump) and sophomore TJ Rowan, along with the men's 4x100m and women's 4x400m relays posted strong showings to earn runner-up. Junior Mia Edim (200m), Langston (400mH) and the men's 4x400m relay rounded out the podium finishers with third-place finishes.

Duke will feature a split group as the team embarks on a tri-meet weekend. The Blue Devils will compete at the Mt. SAC Relays (Walnut, California) from Apr. 15-18, the Wake Forest Invitational (Winston-Salem) Apr. 16-17 and the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational (Gainesville, Florida) Apr. 17-18.
