DURHAM, N.C. - Fresh off an opening weekend with two wins, Duke men's soccer turns its attention to the first of two high-profile home non-conference matches to close the month of August. The Blue Devils (2-0) host 2025 College Cup finalist Furman (0-1-1) at Freeman Field at Koskinen Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 27, with first touch scheduled for 7 p.m. Fans can buy tickets here or watch the match live on ACC Network Extra.
The Paladins were ranked No. 3 nationally in the preseason poll and are one of two preseason top five teams to travel to Durham this weekend, with preseason No. 5 Georgetown slated to take on Duke on Sunday, Aug. 30.Â
The Blue Devils entered the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 this week, ranking 19th nationally, after a pair of victories over Seton Hall and Cal Baptist to open the regular season. Duke received game-winning goals in the second half of both matches from freshmen, with Jack Ottley netting the winner against Seton Hall and Ethan Congleton finding the back of the net against Cal Baptist.Â
