Duke Alumna Caitlin Cosme Signs with Crystal Palace

DURHAM, N.C. – Former Duke women's soccer standout Caitlin Cosme has signed a professional contract with Crystal Palace Women in England through 2027.
Crystal Palace Women are based in England and compete in the Women's Super League (WSL), England's top division.
"It's great to have Caitlin join us at Palace for our return to the top flight," said manager Jo Potter. "She will bring a lot of experience and quality to our backline in the WSL."
Cosme competed for FC Nantes in France over the last two seasons in the Première Ligue. She led FC Nantes to a seventh-place finish in 2024-25 and then a fourth-place finish in 2025-26. Cosme has recently been representing Puerto Rico and made her senior international debut in May 2025.
"Everyone has been so welcoming so far and I'm excited to just immerse myself in this club and in this community," said Cosme.
After appearing in just eight matches over her first two seasons at Duke, Cosme established herself as one of the top center backs in the ACC from 2019-21. The New Hyde Park, New York, native started 59 of her final 62 matches and scored 10 goals with one assist for 21 points. As a senior and team captain in 2020-21, she led all ACC defenders and tied for the team lead with six goals while being named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic Region First Team.
