Zach Scherwinski joined the Athletic Medicine Department at Duke in July of 2020 and currently serves as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for Duke’s Wrestling and Track & Field teams.
Prior to being elevated to his current position as a full-time Athletic Trainer in June of 2021, Scherwinski was an intern Athletic Trainer with Duke Football during the 2020 season.
A native of Park Falls, Wisconsin, Scherwinski graduated with a degree in Athletic Training from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 2018 along with working alongside their collegiate teams and local high schools. He then went on to obtain his MA in Sports Administration from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2020, while also serving as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the University’s Football, Wrestling, Track & Field, and Women’s Tennis teams.
Scherwinski currently resides in Brier Creek with his dog, Luna.
