No. 10 Florida State Eliminates Duke in ACC Tournament

Altamonte Springs, Fla. ? Duke's run in the ACC Tournament ended on Friday when they lost 4-0 to No. 10 Florida State in the quarterfinals at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Fla.
The Blue Devils were the No. 6 seed in the tournament while the Seminoles were the No. 3 seed. For the second straight season Florida State eliminated Duke as they won the doubles point and went on to take the first three singles matches for the win.
The Seminoles' No. 15 doubles team of Jean-Yves Aubone and Clint Bowles proved too much for David Goulet and Christopher Price, who are ranked No. 34. The two FSU players won 8-5 to start the day. Bradley Mixson and Drew Bailey then defeated Dylan Arnould and Alex Stone at the No. 3 position to clinch the doubles point for the Seminoles.
In singles two of the three ranked players for Florida State earned victories. No. 19 Jean-Yves Aubone downed No. 60 David Goulet in the top spot 6-2, 6-2. No. 75 Clint Bowles also won 6-2, 6-2 against Kiril Dimitrov in the No. 3 spot. Then to clinch the match Bradley Mixson handed Alain Michel a 6-3, 6-3 loss in the No. 5 singles contest.
The Blue Devils fall to 10-13 on the season with the loss. Florida State advances to face Miami in the semifinals and improve to 19-4 on the season.
Duke will now await the NCAA Tournament selections, which will be announced on Tuesday, April 29.
