NOTES
QUOTES
- "I am just really proud of our pitching staff. They bailed us out tonight. We made a lot of mistakes. Mistakes on the bases, defensive and situational offense. Our pitching was just tough enough to bail us out. I love the response by Jackson Emus after he has the tough first inning, to go out there and give us two zeros. The response by Fran Oschell III after we had runners at second and third because of a defensive mistake to get us off the field. Charlie picked him up in the eighth and it wasn't our best performance, but our pitching staff did a great job and kept us in it." – Head coach Chris Pollard on his overall thoughts on tonight's contest.
UP NEXT
- Duke returns to ACC play this weekend traveling to Blacksburg, Va., for a three-game set against No. 23 Virginia Tech. First pitch on Friday is scheduled for 7 p.m.
