Dawson Reeves turned in strong performances for Duke cross country at the Roanoke Invitational Saturday.

The trio posted top-15 placements in the men's 8K at Green Hill Park, capping the regular-season racing slate on a high.

TOP PERFORMANCES:
- Morello led the charge for the Blue Devil men in his first race of the season and posted a personal best in the process. After sitting in 10th place at the four-kilometer mark, Newport climbed seven spots up the leaderboard over the next 3K before going on to a third-place finish behind a time of 24:28.3.
- Newport, who also took the starting line for the first time in 2025, was the next Duke runner to finish among the top 10. The junior clocked 24:49.4 to check in at eighth place.
- Reeves rounded out the group of competing Blue Devils, hitting the tape in 25:28.7 to take 15th.

UP NEXT:
Duke turns its attention to postseason competition, starting with the ACC Cross Country Championships in Louisville, Kentucky. The meet will take place Oct. 31 at Sawyer State Park.
