CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Duke cross country turned in a strong performance Friday morning at the NCAA Southeast Regional, with graduate student
Stephanie Moss headlining the individual performances while both the men's and women's squads finished in the top 10 of the team standings.

Moss had a strong close to her 6K race and turned in a ninth-place finish to earn all-region honors. The Wilmslow, England, product's finish was the highest by a Blue Devil since Amina Maatoug's runner-up showing in 2023.

As a team, both squads earned their best NCAA Southeast Regional placements since 2023. Duke's women totaled 190 points to place sixth overall, while the Blue Devil men took ninth after accumulating 244 points.

TOP PERFORMANCES:
- Duke had three women finish the 6K race in the top 50, headlined by a top-10 performance by Moss. After being among the top-22 runners through the opening two kilometers, the graduate student made her move, flipping the switch at the 3K marker.
- Moss's strong close saw her jump 11 spots over the back half of the race. She surged seven places up the leaderboard into 13th as the harriers crossed the 5K, then powered her way into the top 10 over the final 1K to finish ninth overall with a time of 19:41.9.
- Freshman Victoria Garces (29th) and graduate student Jette Beermann (34th) were the next two Blue Devils across the line, hitting the tape in 20:14.3 and 20:22.9, respectively.
- The graduate student quartet of Lucca Fulkerson, Poppy Craig-McFeely, Audrey DaDamio and Grace Ping comprised the rest of the Duke contingent and placed among the top 71. Fulkerson and Craig-McFeely rounded out the top-five Duke runners, finishing in 20:45.2 and 20:51.3, respectively, to place 58th and 62nd. Ping took 70th-place with a time of 20.56.7, edging out DaDamio (71st), who clocked 20.59.6.
- Graduate student Charlie Siebert led the efforts for the Duke men as he covered the 10K course in 30.27.1 to finish in a tie for 32nd.
- Classmate Jack Stanley (30:48.0) and sophomore Luke Thompson (30:50.7) also turned in strong performances for Duke, placing 47th and 49th, respectively.
- Upperclassman Arthur Graham (51st) crossed the line in 30:54.9 and narrowly missed a top-50 finish. Nick Falk capped Duke's top five on the men's side with the senior clocking 31:09.0 for 64th.
- Junior Rendon Kuykendall (31:15.8) and graduate student Declan McDonnell (31:17.2) raced their way 72nd and 73rd, crossing the line just 1.5 second apart.

The NCAA will announce qualifiers for the 2025 NCAA Cross Country Championships via its selection show Saturday, Nov. 15 at 5 p.m. ET live on NCAA.com. The championship race will take place Saturday, Nov. 22 at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Missouri. The meet will be streamed live on ESPNU beginning at 10:00 a.m. ET.
