Jack Smith | Junior | Charlottesville, Virginia
"
Jack Smith has consistently demonstrated the qualities of an NSCA All-American through his leadership, work ethic, attitude and accountability within Duke swimming," said Christensen. "He approaches training with a professional mindset, setting a daily standard for preparation, effort and consistency. Jack leads by example in the weight room and on deck, staying focused on details and taking ownership of his development. He is highly coachable, brings a positive energy to the team environment and elevates those around him through his actions. Jack's commitment to excellence reflects the core values of the Duke swimming and diving and makes him a deserving candidate for All-American recognition."
Bryan Kim | Junior | Brookeville, Maryland
"
Bryan Kim is the epitome of an All-American," said
Jordan Bar, Assistant Director of Sports Performance. "He doesn't want to just to put in the work, he seeks out more opportunities to make himself the best. His professionalism and coachability are unmatched and the dedication he shows to growth shows in the weight room and in competition. Bryan wants to be the best and it shows."
Andie Smith | Graduate Student | Hobe Sound, Florida
"Since her first time stepping foot in the weight room as a freshman, it was clear that Andie saw performance training as an important piece to her success on the golf course," said Bar. "She has demonstrated incredible commitment to bettering herself, and therefore her team, by always giving her all. She is a strong, powerful athlete that has used the weight room to raise the level of her game. Her leadership by example, integrity in the weight room, positive energy and dedication to physical preparation is nothing short of elite and are all reasons Andie Smith deserves to be an NSCA All-American."
Katie Codd | Senior | Carlsbad, California
"There aren't many athletes that work as hard as
Katie Codd," said Bar. "Whether in the weight room, training for speed, agility, conditioning, hitting, or playing, effort and intent have never been doubts. From creating weight room goals, to eagerly learning new movements, or beating personal records, Katie's dedication to never giving less than her all has been a standout in my time with women's tennis here at Duke. It has been nothing short of outstanding to work with Katie and there is no doubt that she deserves to be an NSCA All-American."
Aminah Vega | Senior | DeBary, Florida
"Aminah is a true embodiment of perseverance and commitment, both on the softball field and in the weight room," said sports performance coach
Erika McCort. "She is highly coachable, detail oriented and is constantly seeking ways to improve. Regardless of the circumstance, she maintains a positive attitude, and her effort is never in question. Aminah is not only an exceptional athlete, but she's an even better person. It has been an absolute honor to coach and get to know her over the past three years. She is truly deserving of the NSCA All-American recognition."
Jada Baker | Senior | Longwood, Florida
Jada Baker's leadership is defined by consistency, accountability and the respect she commands within our program," said McCort. "Elected team captain for three straight years, she has earned the unwavering trust of both her teammates and coaches. She brings a strong presence to every lift and every practice and her attention to detail elevates the standard of our entire team. She has been an absolute pleasure to work with, and I am honored to know her. Jada's leadership and daily commitment to excellence make her more than worthy of the NSCA All-American recognition."
Anna Corcoran | Senior | Arlington, Virginia
"Anna stands out as someone who has always been eager to learn, grow and train hard in the weight room," said
Jordan Bar. "Though experiencing several setbacks, Anna has continuously been a positive presence in the weight room, always pushing herself to get stronger, learn new movements and find ways to make her training more intense. She has always been someone I can count on to show up and train hard and her progress in the weight room is evident. Her dedication to training hard, her eagerness to get better and to learn and ability to push herself are just some of the reasons Anna deserves to be an NSCA All-American."
Katie Hamilton | Senior | Westfield, New Jersey
"Katie has been a model of consistency and hard work," said Bar. "Despite having a less-than-ideal first day in the weight room as a freshman, it's hard to think of someone from the cross country/distance track and field squad that I have seen more than Katie. Not only is she leader by example and shows up consistently, but she is also a joy to be around. Even through physical setbacks she has kept training, and her dedication to doing everything correctly and to the best of her ability are just a few of the examples of what makes her a perfect candidate for NSCA All-American."
Riley Newport | Junior | Dekalb, Illinois
"One of the most consistently hard-working individuals in the program is
Riley Newport," said Bar. "Every time he steps foot in the weight room he's looking to get better. His hard work and dedication has shown in his performance on the course and the track, and he is a pleasure to work with. Riley is a prime example of an NSCA All-American."
Isabella Moreno | Junior | Montclair, New Jersey
"Isabella embraces her training with effort and a positive attitude," said sports performance coach
Nicole Shattuck. "She has worked hard year-round to put in the time during early mornings, late nights and balances the demands of being a student-athlete with grace. She builds up her younger teammates and brings energy to every session (land, lift, or boat). Isabella is a leader whose hard work sets the standard."
Mabel Overbeck | Sophomore | Garden City, New York
"Mabel is tough as nails," said Shattuck. "She pushes herself in training, both physically and mentally, to improve every day. This is what makes her a strong defender and the fastest sprinter on our squad. Mabel's greatest strength is her humility, and she is always striving to make gains in all aspects of her performance. Whether we are in the weight room or on the field, even as a younger teammate, she leads upwards by example...without complaint, and with a positive attitude that fosters belief in herself and those around her."
