ATLANTA – Duke diving sophomore
Keira Lu earned a pair of top-three placements to headline a weekend of competition for the Blue Devils at the Georgia Tech Diving Invitational.
TOP PERFORMANCES:
- Lu captured the lone event win of the weekend for Duke with a first-place finish in the women's 1-meter dive. After punching her ticket to the final via a score of 286.40 in the prelims, the sophomore scored a 304.70 in the final to cement herself atop the field.
- Lu posted another top-three placement by scoring a 309.10 to finish as the runner-up in Saturday's women's 3-meter dive final.
- The Blue Devil women also saw senior Josie Zillig turn in a formidable showing in the 1-meter dive consolation final, earning a combined score of 257.55 to take third. This marked her second-best scoring performance of the season in the event, trailing only the 274.05 showing at Emory.
- On the men's side, Charles Berman led the efforts for Duke with a trio of top-six finishes. His best performance of the weekend came in Saturday's men's platform diving final, with the junior taking fifth after scoring a 324.55.
UP NEXT:
Duke will make the short trip up Tobacco Road to Raleigh, where the Blue Devils will compete at the Wolfpack Elite Invitational Nov. 20-21 inside the Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center.
