DURHAM, N.C. – Major League Soccer (MLS) held its 2026 SuperDraft on Dec. 18, with senior midfielder
Kenan Hot hearing his named called in the second round. Hot was chosen by Inter Miami CF with the 32nd overall selection.
Hot, a First Team All-ACC selection for the 2025 campaign, is coming off a career season, courtesy of a team-high eight goals, alongside four assists, en route to a team-leading 20 points. Hot helped lead the Blue Devils to an appearance in the third round of the NCAA Tournament, including scoring the game-tying goal in Duke's win at No. 3-seed Princeton in the second round.Â
Hot is the fifth Blue Devil to be drafted across the last three iterations of the MLS SuperDraft.
Drew Kerr heard his name called by the Columbus Crew in the 2025 SuperDraft, while the trio of
Wayne Frederick,
Antino Lopez and
Ruben Mesalles were all drafted during the 2024 SuperDraft by the Colorado Rapids, Seattle Sounders and Real Salt Lake, respectively.
