DURHAM, N.C. – Duke swimming and diving concluded the third day of competition at ACC Championships hosted by the Greensboro Aquatics Center. Three Blue Devils earned spots in the 400 IM finals on Thursday, as
Kyra Sommerstad,
Audrey Portello, and
Martina Peroni all secured evening spots.
Five Blue Devils added NCAA B-Cuts, while five others earned new top 10s in their respective events.
NOTABLES
- Senior Margo O'Meara posted a sixth-place finish in the morning session, qualifying for the finals with a score of 322.80. O'Meara went on to finish fourth on the three-meter board, posting a score of 366.15.
- In the 400 IM, Owen Markowitz clocked a time of 3:53.97, moving his way to sixth all-time in Duke program lore.
- On the women's side of the 400 IM, Audrey Portello moved into fifth place on Duke's top 10 list, clocking a time of 4:11.06. Kyra Sommerstad joined Portello in the top 10, swimming a time of 4:12.35 for an eighth-place mark.
- Sophomore Molly Donlan moved to seventh in Duke's all-time performance top 10, clocking a time of 53.12 in the 100 Butterfly, while Charlie Morici posted a time of 46.62, fourth all-time, in the 100 Butterfly.
- Five Blue Devils earned new NCAA B Cuts on Thursday, as Morici (100 Butterfly), Sommerstad (400 IM), Peroni (400 IM), Portello (400 IM), and Donlan (100 Butterfly) earned their mark.
