BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Duke swimming and diving team fell at Virginia Tech Saturday afternoon inside the Christiansburg Aquatic Center. The No. 19 Blue Devil women suffered their first loss of the season, dropping a 134-109 decision to the Hokies, while the Virginia Tech men earned a 147-87 win over Duke.

TOP PERFORMANCESÂ
- In the women's 200 medley relay, Duke's team of freshman Tierney Lenahan, senior Kaelyn Gridley, freshman Heather White and senior Tatum Wall clinched first place with a time of 1:37.48. Taking third was the Blue Devil squad of sophomore Kate Meyers-Labenz, freshman Raylee Hunt, junior Molly Donlan and graduate Emily Gantriis (1:41.68).
- Freshman Charlie Kulp recorded a third-place finish in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 9:15.16.
- In the women's 200 freestyle, junior Ali Pfaff logged a time of 1:47.82 to place third, while Gantriis added another third-place finish in the 50 freestyle (22.95).
- Senior Martina Peroni earned a victory in the 200 individual medley, touching in 2:00.98, while on the men's side, freshman Raphael Wang placed second (1:49.03).
- In the 100 fly, White finished second (53.81), followed by Peroni in third (54.17).
- Wall claimed the 100 free title with a time of 48.45, while Gantriis finished third (49.51).
- Pfaff notched another win in the 100 back, clocking a time of 51.89.
- The men swept the top three spots in the 500 free. Kulp led the way in 4:31.68, followed by freshman Anderson Kopp (4:35.23) and sophomore Owen Markowitz (4:36.80).
- Gridley secured her second win of the meet in the 100 breast (58.46). On the men's side, Duke swept the top three positions, led by Kalen Anbar (54.86), with Wang (55.49) and junior Jack Smith (55.78) rounding out the group.
- In the 200 free relay, the Blue Devil women placed second and third. Finishing in 1:31.47 were White, sophomore Clare Logan, Pfaff and Meyers-Labenz, while Wall, senior Madelie Meredith, junior Claire McLean and Donlan took third (1:33.11).
- The Duke men swept the 200 free relay. The team of junior Milo Shue, sophomore Samir Elkassem, graduate Justin Wong and Kulp claimed first in 1:22.29. Finishing second were sophomore Colin Mikulecky, freshman Finn Arrillaga, freshman Ryan Griffith and senior Austin Simpson (1:23.12), while freshman Gustav Koh, junior Jacob Hills, freshman Cade Anderson and Markowitz rounded out the top three (1:24.54).
- In the diving portion of the meet, sophomore Keira Lu continued her dominance, taking first in both the 1-meter (278.63)and 3-meter (328.88) events.
- On the men's side, sophomore Tynan O'Donoghue placed second (298.58) and senior Yannis Schattman took third (298.05) in the 1-meter, while junior Charles Berman secured third in the 3-meter (341.70).
