DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke swimming and diving team will face Northwestern in Evanston, Illinois, from Nov. 7-8. Events begin Friday at 6 p.m. (EST) and at noon Saturday.
NOTABLES
- The women's squad ranks No. 19 in the October CSCAA rankings.
- Last time out, Virginia Tech topped both the men's and women's programs, marking the first loss of the season for the Blue Devil women. The Hokie women defeated Duke, 134-109, while the Virginia Tech men earned a 147-87 win.
- Senior Kaelyn Gridley set a Christiansburg Aquatic Center record with her 58.46 performance in the 100 breast, a mark that ranks eighth nationally.
- On the men's side, freshman Charlie Kulp etched his name in the Duke record book, clocking a 9:15.16 in the 1,000 free — the fourth-fastest time in program history.
- The Duke women faced Northwestern for the first time a season ago, coming out on top, 197-137. The men's team holds a 1-1 all-time record against the Wildcats, earning a 185-110 win in 2016 before falling last season, 225.5-107.5.
UP NEXT
- Duke diving will compete in the Georgia Tech Invitational from Nov. 13-15 in Atlanta, Georgia. Other teams featured at the invite include Alabama, Auburn, East Carolina, Florida State and Virginia Tech.
