ORLANDO, Fla. – The Duke men's tennis tandem of Cooper Williams and Theo Winegar clinched a US Open main draw wild card entry Thursday afternoon after posting a straight-set victory (6-4, 6-4) over Stanford's Nicholas Godsick and Hudson Rivera in the championship match of the 2025 American Collegiate Wild Card Playoff.

The first set was tied at 2-2 before the Blue Devil duo won back-to-back games to take a 4-2 lead. Williams and Winegar then claimed two of the next four games to secure the opening frame, 6-4.

The second set was knotted three times, with the last tie coming at 4-4, before the Duke pairing pulled away with two straight games to seal the match and the championship.
