How It Happened
- In doubles, Duke's court two pair of Dylan Long and Gerard Planelles Ripoll topped Sean Daryabeigi and Charlie Swaine, 6-4, to register the first decision. Long and Planelles Ripoll were even throughout until snapping a 4-4 tie with a break and hold to end the set.Â
- South Carolina evened the doubles action on court one, where Lucas Da Silva and Paul Barbier Gazeu downed No. 36 Pedro Rodenas and Cooper Williams, 6-4. Duke's pair quickly turned a 1-1 tie into a 3-1 lead, but South Carolina's duo stormed back with five of the last six games for the match.Â
- The Gamecock pair of Atakan Karahan and Cole Henceroth defeated Teddy Truwit and Alexander Visser 6-4 on court three to secure South Carolina's first point. The Gamecocks broke a 1-1 tie to take a 3-1 lead and never allowed a tie in securing the victory.

- No. 23 Da Silva tallied the Gamecocks' third point with a 6-2, 6-3 victory against Williams on court one. The opening set had Da Silva hop out to a 4-0 lead before dropping a game. Da Silva closed out the first set and opened with 3-0 and 4-1 leads in the second set. Williams rallied to cut the deficit to 4-3, but Da Silva answered with a hold and break to end the match.
- Visser tallied Duke's point with a 6-2, 6-4 court four triumph against Karahan. In the opening set, Visser led 2-0 and 3-1. Karahan got the deficit down to 3-2, but Visser registered the final three games in the set. In the second, Karahan led 2-0, 3-1 and 4-2, but Visser had a commanding answer with the last four games to take the match. The win snapped a five-match losing streak for Visser.Â
