COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The trio of
Madison Beach, Shae Wozniak and
Abigail Gerdeman have been named to the U.S. U-21 USA Field Hockey Women's National Team for the upcoming 2026 Junior Pan American Cup, the organization announced Thursday.
The 2026 Junior Pan American Cup will take place April 6-18 at the National Stadium Sports Park in Santiago, Chile. This event serves as a qualifier for the 2027 FIH Junior World Cup (JWC).
United States head coach Ange Bradley selected the 18-athlete team following four selection camps held between December and March. Beach and Wozniak are currently Blue Devils, while Gerdeman is a future member of Duke field hockey family as she completes her senior year of high school.
"The selection process was extremely competitive," said Ange Bradley, U-21 USWNT Head Coach. "We selected athletes who consistently impact the game, embrace a team-first mentality and demonstrate the ability to perform at an international tempo. This group brings an incredible balance of speed, resilience and tactical flexibility. Our focus now is to unite quickly and make the most our preparation window as we pursue qualification for the next Junior World Cup."
Beach recently represented USA in last year's FIH Hockey Women's Junior World Cup and was part of the U-21 squad that took silver at the Junior Pan American Games this past summer. Wozniak also has a wealth of USA Field Hockey experience and is coming off a strong freshman season with the Blue Devils that saw her score four goals after missing the early part of the season.
Gerdeman will join the Blue Devils in the fall following a standout career at The Hill School and with the WC Eagles. A top-10 recruit, according to Max Field Hockey, Gerdeman was a member of the 2025 U.S. U-18 Women's National Team.
The top four women's teams at the JPAC round-robin event will qualify for the 2027 FIH Junior World Cup.
