Match Program
DURHAM, N.C. – Duke men's tennis hosts its final full weekend of action and welcomes in-state foes NC State and Wake Forest to the Ambler Tennis Stadium. The Blue Devils have just one remaining home match after this weekend with a visit from North Carolina on April 11.Â
CROSSCOURT CAST COVERAGE
For the third consecutive year, the Atlantic Coast Conference and ACC Network have teamed up with Cracked Racquets to produce CrossCourt Cast shows during ACC play. Cracked Racquets, a leader in tennis media, is committed to empowering the ACC tennis community by making the sport more connected, inclusive and engaging through its broadcast and podcast coverage this season.
The CrossCourt Cast format, like NFL Redzone or whip-around coverage, incorporates every match during play. While the live stream will focus on broadcasting the most exciting moments of a day's play (match points, breakpoints, momentum swings, top-10 matchups, 4-3 finishes, etc.), it will also cover every team and individual competing.Â
Duke's Friday and Sunday matches will be part of the coverage.Â
WILLIAMS FINDING HIS GROOVE IN SINGLES ...
Cooper Williams has played some of his strongest tennis with the start of the outdoor campaign. Since shifting to the second court, Williams, ranked No. 56, is 6-0 with two additional unfinished matches he was leading.
Williams went 2-0 last weekend in singles, including a 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 victory against No. 53 Viktor Markov of Clemson.Â
... AND STILL ROLLING IN DOUBLES
Williams andÂ
Pedro Rodenas won their one completed doubles match last weekend to improve to 12-2 in dual competition. The duo, ranked No. 10 nationally, has won its last seven matches. Williams and Rodenas registered their highest-ranked win of the campaign against Stanford with a 6-4 triumph versus the No. 8 team of Alex Chang and Alex Razeghi.
Williams and Rodenas are 6-0 in ACC play. The Duke record for ACC wins by a doubles team in a season is 11, set byÂ
Henrique Cunha andÂ
Raphael Hemmeler in 2013. Eight ACC wins enters a Blue Devil pair into the single season top-10 chart. Â
RODENAS RECORD WATCH
With Rodenas' strong doubles start to ACC play, he continues his climb up the Duke career record charts for league competition. In doubles, Rodenas has played 35 ACC matches, the 10th most in Duke history, while his 28Â league doubles wins are tied for third in Duke history.
Cunha (2010-13) tops the Duke ACC doubles wins ledger with 35.
In ACC play, Rodenas has taken part in 39 singles matches, one shy of cracking the Duke top-12 chart. He owns 30 ACC singles victories, tied with current Duke assistant coach
TJ Pura for the sixth most in a Duke career.Â
Fred Saba (2011-14) owns the Blue Devil record with 35 ACC singles wins.
Overall, the Madrid, Spain, native owns 94 career wins, just six shy of becoming the 17th member of Duke's 100-win club.Â
NC STATE HISTORY
The Blue Devils hold a 108-5 advantage in the all-time series, which began in 1908. Duke led the series 104-2 but holds a 4-3 advantage in the last seven matches. Earlier this year at the ITA Kickoff Weekend, Duke picked up a 4-2 victory against the ninth-ranked Wolfpack. Last spring at the ACC Championship quarterfinals in Cary, North Carolina, the Blue Devils upset No. 5 NC State, 4-3. In January during the Kickoff weekend, the Wolfpack captured the doubles point with a marathon win on court three before Duke, led by Williams' highest-ranked win of his Duke career, downing No. 9 Martin Borisiouk on court one, ripped off four singles triumphs to secure the victory.
SCOUTING THE WOLFPACK
NC State owns a 15-2 dual match record and brings two ranked singles individuals to the weekend with Borisiouk checking in at No. 17 and William Manning at No. 88. Borisiouk is 6-5 in dual match action while Manning is 10-3. In addition, Jules Leroux has gone 3-1 on court two and 3-0 in the fourth slot. NCSU's doubles pair of Leroux and Borisiouk is ranked No. 21. The duo is 9-1 overall in dual action, 7-1 on court one and 2-0 in the second position.Â

WAKE FOREST HISTORY
Sundays contest will be the 112th all-time meeting between the two programs with the Blue Devils holding an 88-23 edge. Duke has won three straight over the Demon Deacons, including a 4-1 victory in the last meeting, in April 2024. The last Wake Forest win came on April 17, 2022, when the Demon Deacons defeated Duke, 4-2, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In the 2024 affair,
Rodenas was part of a doubles victory while
Teddy Truwit suffered a doubles loss. Rodenas and
Alexander Visser added singles victories in helping Duke to the win.Â
SCOUTING THE DEMON DEACONS
Wake Forest is the sixth top-15 opponent Duke will face this season. The top-ranked Demon Deacons hold a 23-2 overall record, including an 8-0 mark in ACC play. Wake Forest brings a 16-game winning streak into the weekend. Five singles players and two doubles duos are nationally ranked in the ITA's most recent listing. Luca Pow holds the No. 20 ranking DK Suresh Ekambaram is right behind at No. 21. Mees Rottgering checks in at No. 47 with Aryan Shah (No. 65) and Andrew Delgado (No. 93) wrapping up the rankings. In doubles, Suresh and Delgado are the No. 5 pair nationally with Shah and Kacper Szymkowiak standing at No. 76.
