DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke women's track and field team earned its highest in-season ranking in program history, with the Blue Devils checking in at No. 3 in the Week 1 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA) poll released Tuesday morning.
LSU owns the top spot in the poll with 254.34 points. Texas Tech (2nd; 245.39 points), Duke (3rd; 238.68 points), Georgia (4th; 230.22 points) and Arkansas (5th; 221.61 points) comprise the rest of top five.
Duke's women have performed exceptionally during the first two outdoor meets of the season with the efforts spearheaded by the sprints and distance groups. In the EventSquad rankings, the team ranks second in the 400 meters and 10,000 meters, third in the 800 meters and fourth in the 5,000 meters.
Additionally, the Blue Devils feature six student-athletes and one relay team ranked in the top 10. Sophomore

Lauren Tolbert (800m) own the top NCAA time in their respective events, with Baker also No. 2 in the 400 hurdles and Tolbert No. 4 in the 800. Sophomore
Maya Collins sits third in the 100 meters and freshman

The Blue Devils host the first of two home meets this season, starting with the Duke Invitational slated for April 8-11 at Morris Williams Stadium.
