SETTING THE SCENE
• Duke wrestling is set to compete in the ACC Wrestling Championship Sunday, March 8 inside Cassell Stadium in Blacksburg, Virginia. The action will get started at 10 a.m., and will go all day with the finals beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 on the day of the championship.

ACC CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY
• Over the history of the Duke wrestling program, the Blue Devils have registered 24 ACC Champions, six medalists come from the heavyweight class. Karl Shetler (HWT, 1959), Luke Sharpe (1964), Ed Newman (1970, 1971), Joel Puleo (1973, 1974, 1975), Konrad Dudziak (2009, 2010), Jacob Kasper (2018).
• The last Blue Devil to earn ACC Champion accolades was Mitch Finesilver in 2019. Finesilver defeated North Carolina's A.C. Headlee by decision, 9-5, in the 149 pound finals.
• In recent years the Blue Devils have had success in the ACC Championship within the heavyweight bracket. Jacob Kasper was an ACC Champion in 2018, after defeating North Carolina's Corey Daniel by an 8-4 decision.
• The 2023 ACC Championships featured Jonah Niesenbaum placing second in the heavyweight division. Niesenbaum fell to NC State's Owen Trephan by a 7-2 decision in the final.

FIRST ACC WIN
• Duke redshirt sophomore
Spencer von Savoye collected his first collegiate ACC win against NC State. He netted a 1-0 victory over Brad Yokum of the Wolfpack. He totaled an escape in the second period and that proved to be the winning point.Â
• von Savoye narrowly lost, 9-8, in the previous match at North Carolina to Cameron Stinson, Jr.Â

MOVING UP WINS LIST
• Duke redshirt sophomore
Aidan Wallace collected his 25th win of the season against NC State. His 25 victories ranks tied for fifth on Duke's single-season record charts for 174 pounds. With his next win, he will move into a tie for third. The most wins in a season in Duke history at 174 pounds is 29 by Matt Finesilver in 2021-22, while Bret Klopp is second with 27 victories.Â

Connor Barket collected his 20th win of the season against Cornell to rank seventh on Duke's single-season chart in the heavyweight class. He posted 24 wins a season ago to rank fifth.Â

ADAMS WINS AT UNC
• Duke junior
Raymond Adams won his first ACC bout of the season on the road at North Carolina. He totaled a 7-5 decision against Marco Tocci.Â
• Adams now owns at least one ACC victory in each of his three seasons with the Blue Devils.Â

ROSS REGISTERS THIRD ACC WIN
• Duke redshirt freshman
Dylan Ross collected his fourth ACC win at Virginia Tech as he defeated Chris Bacchioni.Â
• A few of weeks ago, Ross registered a key win against Virginia's Wynton Denkins. Ross had lost to Denkins, 4-2, in the Southern Scuffle back on Jan. 3. He has won seven out of his last 10 matches.Â
• Ross continues to have a solid season with the Blue Devils and will attempt to qualify for the NCAA Championship. He owns a 15-10 overall record and 4-2 mark in ACC action. He was 8-8 in dual play in 2025-26.Â

WALLACE NOTCHES MILESTONE
• With his six wins at the Southern Scuffle, redshirt junior
Aidan Wallace reached 20 victories on the season. He has now collected 20+ wins at the 164-pound weight class and the 174-pound class over the last two seasons.
• Wallace became the 14th Blue Devil to notch back-to-back 20+ win seasons -- Matt Finesilver, Frank Cornely, Levi Craig, Voris Tejada, John Barone, Diego Bencomo, Jacob Kasper, Conner Hartmann, Mike Mitchell, Immanuel Kerr-Brown, Josh Finesilver, Marcus Cain and Tommy Hoang.
• Wallace has become just the fourth Blue Devil to collect 20+ wins in multiple weight classes -- Frank Cornely (174, 184), Voris Tejada (157 and 174), John Barone (174/184 & 184/197) and Josh Finesilver (133 and 141).Â

BARKET WITH 20 WINS ONCE AGAIN

• Barket became the 15th Blue Devil to notch back-to-back 20+ win campaigns in Duke history.Â

SEVERAL BLUE DEVILS PLACE AT WILDCAT OPEN
• Eight Duke wrestlers made the trip to Davidson this past weekend to compete in the Davidson Wildcat Open. A pair of Blue Devils wrestled their way into the finals, as six Blue Devils recorded multiple victories.

Eddie Radecki was the runner-up at 149 pounds, defeating the No. 2 seed Ryan Phillips of Campbell by a 13-2 major decision and the No. 3 seed Hayden Hughes of Chattanooga with a 10-7 decision.
•Â
Dash Hort finished 2-1 at 184 pounds, advancing to the championship match after taking down top-seed Brant Cracraft from Campbell with a 13-2 major decision in his first match of the day.

Noah Kochman finished 2-2, defeating fourth-seeded Charleston Baglio of Gardner-Webb in the quarterfinals en route to an appearance in the consolation finals at 141 pounds.

Peter Chacon posted a 3-2 record at 157 pounds, stringing together back-to-back wins against Mount Olive's Abriel Padilla (fall) and Bardley Williams of Stronghold (fall) in the consolation bracket.
•
Logan Richey also finished 3-2 in his five matches at 197 pounds, taking down the No. 3 seed Edison Flores from Gardner-Webb in the quarterfinals, ultimately finishing in the consolation semifinal.

Ryan Beirne had a split record of 2-2 at 165 pounds, defeating wrestlers from The Citadel and UNC Pembroke in the consolation bracket.

Colin Lutz pinned the No. 6 seed Christian Hale-Anderson of Presbyterian at 157 pounds early in the second period of his opening match, ultimately finishing 1-2 on the day.

Eli Murray dropped two matches at 157 pounds.

DUKE REACHES SIX WINS
• Duke has registered six wins on the year. The six wins are the most victories by the Blue Devils since the 2021-22 campaign when Duke totaled a 7-10 ledger.Â
• Over the last 10 years, Duke has reached five or more wins only three times -- 2025-26, 2021-22 and 2017-18.

LANHAM ADDS FIVE RECRUITS FOR 2025-26

Glen Lanham has announced five additions to the 2025-26 roster with the signing of a pair of transfers and three incoming freshmen.

DUKE FEATURES TRI-CAPTAINS IN 2025-26
• The 2025-26 Duke wrestling team will feature a trio of captains –
Connor Barket,
Gaetano Console and
Aidan Wallace.
• It marks the third straight season that Barket and Console will serve as captains.
• Coming off his first appearance in the NCAA Championship, Barket is primed for another outstanding season with the Blue Devils. He has won 40 matches over the last two seasons and was ranked as high as No. 17 nationally a season ago. Barket, who hails from West Lafayette, Indiana, totaled 24 wins this past year, which were the fifth-most in Blue Devil history as a heavyweight.
• A native of Barrington Hills, Illinois, Console has been a steady leader since stepping foot on campus three seasons ago. Wrestling at 165/174 over his career, Console has tallied 19 wins as a Blue Devil. He is a three-time ACC Honor Roll selection and two-time All-ACC Academic team honoree.
• Wallace, a product of Mahwah, New Jersey, made a splash on the national scene as a redshirt freshman a season ago, as he collected 22 victories at the 165 weight class. He reached as high as No. 26 nationally and logged three victories against ranked opponents. Wallace went 3-1 at the Journeyman Collegiate Classic and 5-1 at the Southern Scuffle, while placing second on the podium at the scuffle.
