Duke Hosts 16th Annual Rod Myers Invitational

DURHAM, N.C. – Duke men's golf returns home to host the 16th annual Rod Myers Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 21-22, at the Duke University Golf Club.
The Blue Devils, under the direction of second-year head coach Bob Heintz, welcome a 13-team field to Durham for the two-day, 54-hole event. Admission and parking are free for all spectators.
Along with Duke, the field features Furman, George Mason, Harvard, Northern Illinois, Princeton, Richmond, UNCG, UNCW, UTSA, Virginia Tech, Wofford and Xavier.
The first two rounds begin Monday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, with the second round following in the afternoon. Tuesday's final round begins with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. Live scoring is available on Scoreboard.
Duke is paired with Furman and UNCW for Monday's opening two rounds.
THE DUKE LINEUP
Duke's five-player lineup consists of sophomore Carson Looney, junior Ollie Mukherjee, senior Bryan Kim, junior Sam Mukherjee and junior John Hiller.
Four additional Blue Devils will compete as individuals: freshman Clark Mason, sophomore Charles Nelson, sophomore Alexander Weinberg and freshman Jonathan Weinberg. Jonathan Weinberg is set to make his Duke debut.
DEFENDING HOME TURF
Duke enters the Rod Myers Invitational as the defending champion after earning its fourth team title in the event last fall and its second in a three-year span.
The Blue Devils finished the 2025 tournament at 20-under-par 844, nine strokes clear of runner-up UNCW at 11-under 853. Duke's 20-under performance marked the program's second-lowest 54-hole team score in the 15-year history of the event and its best since finishing 22-under in 2017.
Kim led Duke individually with a 7-under 209 to finish second, the best individual result by a Blue Devil at the Rod Myers Invitational since 2019.
REMEMBERING ROD MYERS
The tournament honors the late Rod Myers, who led the Duke men's golf program from 1973 until his passing in 2007.
A two-time ACC Coach of the Year, Myers guided the Blue Devils to 30 tournament victories, the 2005 ACC Championship and seven NCAA Championship appearances. During his tenure, he coached 16 All-Americans and nine Academic All-Americans.
Myers' impact on the Duke golf program continues to be recognized on campus, with the program's golf training center and an endowed athletic scholarship bearing his name.

The Duke University Golf Club was designed by renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Sr. and will play as a 7,154-yard, par-72 layout for the Rod Myers Invitational.
BLUE DEVILS BUILD ON SEASON OPENER
Duke opened its 2026-27 campaign with a fifth-place finish at the Sahalee Players Championship in Sammamish, Washington, against a field that included 12 teams that finished last season ranked among the top 50 in the Scoreboard rankings, including seven inside the top 20.
Looney and Ollie Mukherjee each earned top-10 individual finishes to lead the Blue Devils.
