Stone Competes At Midland Invitational

MIDLAND, TEXAS - Junior Alex Stone fell in the first round of the singles bracket on Friday at the Midland Invitational, held at the Midland Racquet Club.
Stone was defeated by Gonzalo Bienzobas of the University of Texas at Arlington in straight sets, 6-4, 7-6.
The tournament includes a 15-school field with players represented from UCLA, Pepperdine, Boise State, Arizona, TCU, Texas A&M, SMU, Texas, UT Arlington, Texas Tech, Duke, Rice, Tulane, Illinois and Baylor, and runs through Sunday, Oct. 15.
Duke continues its fall season on Wednesday, Oct. 18 as the Blue Devils co-host the Mideast ITA Regionals with North Carolina. The event runs from Oct. 18 through Oct. 22.
