DURHAM, N.C. - Ramsey Smith, head coach of the Duke men's tennis team, recently took some time to discuss this weekend's ITA All-American qualifying rounds, the main draw and expectations of the team. The tournament will be played in Tulsa, Okla.
Seniors Torsten Wietoska and Luke Marchese, along with sophomore Cale Hammond will compete in the prequalifying singles tournament. All three have first round byes, but will compete in second round action on Saturday afternoon. The third and fourth rounds will be played on Sunday.
Junior Henrique Cunha earned an automatic bid into the main draw of the tournament, which does not begin until next Thursday, Oct. 6.
The tournament begins on Saturday, Oct. 1 and will continue through Oct. 5. The main draw will run from Oct. 6-9 following the conclusion of the pre-qualifying and qualifying rounds. The event will take place in Tulsa, Okla.
