
Duke Concludes Play at WFU Invite

WINSTON SALEM, N.C. - The Duke men's tennis team concluded play on Sunday at the Wake Forest Fall Invitational in Winston Salem, N.C., completing the weekend with a record of 9-5 in singles and doubles matches
In the finals of the A1 singles draw, junior Fred Saba, the 111th-ranked player in the Intercollegiate Tennis Rankings, dropped a hard-fought 6-4, 6-4 decision to Amogh Probhakar of Wake Forest. The loss marks the first dropped decision of the season for the junior, who now owns a 6-1 singles record for the fall season.
In the fifth-place match of the A2 singles draw, freshman Josh Levine earned the victory against Jon Ho of Wake Forest in straight sets, 7-5, 6-2. The victory for Levine gave the rookie a 2-1 record for the weekend, including today's ACC win against Ho.
Fellow freshman Daniel McCall was deemed the winner of the seventh-place match in a walkover against N.C. State's Trey Carter in the B singles draw.
In the A doubles draw, the duo of Saba and McCall was defeated by the Demon Deacon pair of Danny Kreyman and Adam Lee in the third-place match, 8-4.
Up next, the Blue Devils will return to action Oct. 18-22, at the ITA Regional being played at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C.
