DURHAM, N.C. – Following a 1-1 weekend on the road, the Duke volleyball team will return to Durham for two ACC contests in Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Blue Devils will take on No. 25 Louisville Friday at 6:30 p.m., on ACCNX before welcoming Notre Dame Sunday for a 3 p.m., tilt on ACC Network.
Duke went 1-1 over the weekend, falling to Boston College 3-1 (19-25, 25-21, 15-25, 15-25) before defeating Syracuse in five sets 3-2 (26-24, 25-22, 19-25, 22-25, 17-15). The victory on Sunday snapped a three-match losing streak to the Orange and was highlighted by sophomore
Ade Owokoniran's second 20+ kill performance of the season.
Duke was led offensively by Owokoniran with a season-high 22 kills and just five errors to hit .436 percent as the Blue Devils hit .200 for the game. Defensively, libero
Mackenzie Cole racked up 19 digs while the Blue Devils were also highly competitive at the net with blocking. Senior

Lily Cooper each added eight blocks while rookies

Gracie Johnson added seven and six, respectively.
After remaining unbeaten in ACC play after last weekend, the Louisville volleyball team popped back into the rankings at No. 25 according to the AVCA Coaches Poll. The first RPI Ranking came out and the Cardinals stand at No. 20 on that list.
The Cardinals are 11-3 overall and 4-0 in ACC play entering the weekend and are coming off sweeping Georgia Tech and Clemson at home. Louisville is led by Melanie McHenry with 182 kills and Aiko Jones with 149 kills while setter Tori Dilfer owns 334 assists as the Cardinals are hitting .217 percent this season.
Louisville is currently fifth in the ACC in total blocks with 132 (2.54 blocks/set) behind Duke with 160. Setter Tori Dilfer sits atop the ACC with 155 assists in conference matches (11.07 assists/set), while Anna Stevenson is second in blocks with 22 total (1.57 blocks/set).
Notre Dame is off to its second-best start in ACC play with a 4-0 record and is 11-3 overall heading into the weekend. Most recently, the Irish defeated Clemson (3-1) and Georgia Tech (3-1) at home.
The Irish boast three players with 150+ kills so far this season - Sydney Bent (189), Charley Niego (188) and Caroline Meuth (151), while setter Zoe Nunez has 587 assists to her name.
The Irish have totaled 144.5 team blocks this season, which ranks second in the ACC, and are currently out-blocking their opponents by a +44 margin. Graduate student Kristin Baer ranks fourth in the ACC with 69 total blocks entering this weekend while sophomore Lauren Wenzel ranks eighth in the ACC with 57 blocks.
Duke is currently ranked fourth in the ACC with 60 blocks and a 2.54 block-per-set average and is led by sophomore
Lily Cooper with 77. Cooper is second in the conference with 1.57 b/s and tallied a whopping 16 in Duke's three matches at the Hofstra Invitational. Freshman
Lizzie Fleming is right on Cooper's heels in fourth with 64 (1.31 b/s).
