DURHAM, N.C.— The Duke women's lacrosse team used a 12-0 second half run to beat the High Point Panthers 17-6 in its second game of the 2025 season Sunday afternoon at Koskinen Stadium.

Eva Pronti each scored a goal.
How it Happened
- The Panthers got the first three goals of the game, but Duke responded at 10:39 mark with a goal from Hem off an assist from Bernstein. High Point quickly followed with another goal, increasing its lead to 4-1 before Goodman scored with 4:01 remaining in the first quarter to give the Blue Devils momentum.
- Duke opened scoring in the second quarter with back-to-back goals from Goodwin and Stafford to tie the game at, 4-4. The Panthers regained the lead at 3:51, but Pronti set up Hem to find the back of the net, leveling the game at 5-5 at the half.
- In the first half, the Blue Devils outshot the Panthers 15-8, led 8-3 ground balls, were 6-for-6 on clears, and had four caused turnovers.
- To start the third quarter, High Point got on the board at 14:15, but that would be the last time the Panthers would find the back of the net. The Blue Devils began their 12-0 run with two goals from Bernstein, a couple from Barrett and one from Pronti.
- Entering the fourth quarter with a 10-6 lead, Duke saw goals from Goodwin, Shearer, Hem, Hunter and MacDonald, Defensively, the Blue Devils held High Point to one shot and zero goals in the final 15 minutes, bringing the final score to, 17-6.
- On defense, redshirt junior goalie Kennedy Everson had six saves. Junior defenders Madison Beale and Sydney Smith each recorded two caused turnovers, and redshirt senior Julia Schwasnick also had a pair. As a team, Duke racked up 11 caused turnovers, 16 ground balls and won 17 draw controls.
