BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Duke men's golf team concluded its play at the 2025 ACC Championship, registering a 11th-place finish at 10-over, 874, overall.
Bryan Kim ended the event as the low Blue Devil, at 2-under, 214, and in a tie for 17th place.
HOW IT HAPPENED: ROUND THREE
- As a team, Duke shot a 6-over, 294, in the final round.
- A trio of Blue Devils, Bryan Kim, Kelly Chinn and William Love, all posted a 1-over, 73, to pace Duke's lineup.
- Kim got underway with back-to-back birdies on holes No. 14 and 15 and eventually made the turn to the front-nine at 1-under. Two bogeys across the first three front-nine holes pushed Kim back over-par, but he responded by rolling in his third birdie of the day on the par-4 fifth. Kim dropped one additional shot over his final four holes to finish at 1-over for the day. With an overall score of 2-under, 214, Kim secured a tie for 17th place on the individual leaderboard.
- Chinn worked through an up-and-down opening nine holes, rolling in three birdies while scattering four bogeys across the back-nine. The senior steadied the round after making the turn, with seven pars alongside a birdie on No. 7 and a lone bogey. Chinn ended the tournament at 1-over, 217, and in a tie for 25th place overall.
- Love began his third round by trading a bogey on No. 10 for a birdie on No. 11. He then posted his second birdie of the back-nine on the par-4 14th, but made the turn at 1-over following a pair of bogeys, on No. 15 and 17. The junior's front-nine featured five pars and a pair of birdie-bogey holes. Love finished at 4-over, 220, overall and in a tie for 42nd place.
- Ethan Evans ended the day at 3-over, 75. After a bogey on No. 11, Evans reached as low as 2-under following a birdie on the par-4 12th and an eagle on the drivable par-4 14th. Evans registered a par on his next nine holes but dropped five shots over his final four holes to finish at 3-over for the day and tied for 49th overall at 7-over, 223, for the tournament.
- Luke Sample rounded out the lineup with a 5-over, 77. Sample finished the event at 16-over, 232, and in 67th place.
NOTES
- Bryan Kim posted a top-20 finish for the seventh time this season and for the fourth time in Duke's last five events.
- After finishing his freshman season with only three top-20 finishes, Kim has now more than doubled that benchmark as a sophomore.
- Kim shot 6-under on the par-4's for the event, tied for the second-best score by any individual in the field.
- Kelly Chinn tied for 25th, logging his third consecutive, and sixth total, top-25 finish of the season.
- Ethan Evans rolled in an eagle putt from just off the 14th green, a drivable par-4, giving the junior his sixth eagle of the season. His previous single-season high for eagles was five, set during his freshman campaign.
