DURHAM, N.C. — Nearing two months into the Duke men's and women's soccer seasons and the first year of the Kicks for Kids program, the Blue Devils have raised $2,811.40 for the Pets at Duke program, an impactful service of the Duke Cancer Patient Support Program.
Â
With both programs still having plenty of soccer remaining in 2026, fans are encouraged to make their Kicks for Kids pledge today.
Â
Pets at Duke brings specially trained therapy dogs to patients receiving care in the hospital and clinics, providing comfort and companionship during their treatment. Visits with therapy dogs have been shown to help reduce stress, anxiety, pain and feelings of isolation while creating moments of connection, joy, and emotional support for patients and their loved ones.
Â
Kicks for Kids pledges are made based on the combined goals, assists, shots, corner kicks and saves recorded by both the Duke men's and women's programs. During the 2025 season, the men's soccer team totaled 634 combined statistics, while the women collected 826.Â
Â
If you are interested in supporting the Blue Devil soccer partnership with Duke Children's, you can pledge based on those statistics throughout the season or make a one-time donation. Pledges start at $0.10, $0.50, $1.00 and $2.50. Based on the 2025 season totals, pledge amounts would range from $63.40 to $3,650. Supporters may also make a one-time donation in any amount. To support Kicks for Kids, click
