WILMINGTON, N.C. – Duke posted a 54-hole total of 855 (-9) to finish second at the Seahawk Intercollegiate, held at the Country Club of Landfall (Nicklaus Course) on March 30-31. William Love and a season-best finish from senior

Love paced Duke with a share of the individual title at 210 (-6), posting rounds of 67-72-71. The Atlanta native opened with a 5-under 67 and closed with a steady 1-under 71 to secure his second career medalist honor and first since February 2023. Choi delivered a strong performance with a tie for seventh at 214 (-2), marking his best finish of the season, while junior
Bryan Kim added a top-20 showing, tying for 16th at 217 (+1).
Ollie Mukherjee finished tied for 22nd at 218 (+2), and
Ethan Evans rounded out the lineup at 225 (+9).
As a team, the Blue Devils produced the lowest round of the tournament in the opening round with a 12-under 276 and remained in contention throughout the event.
Competing as individuals, sophomore
John Hiller tied for 39th at 222 (+6) with rounds of 74-71-77, while freshman
Alexander Weinberg placed 72nd at 230 (+14). Sophomore
Sam Mukherjee finished tied for 73rd at 231 (+15), and freshman
Charles Nelson tied for 75th at 232 (+16).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Duke opened with a tournament-best 12-under 276 in round one, with William Love, Daniel Choi, Ollie Mukherjee and Bryan Kim carding under-par scores to take an early lead.
- Love set the tone with a 5-under 67, while Choi added a season-low 68 (-4) in the opening round.
- The Blue Devils slipped in round two with a 295 (+7) but remained inside the top three.
- Bryan Kim rebounded in the final round with a 3-under 69 to lead Duke on Tuesday.
- Duke closed with a 4-under 284 in the final round to secure the runner-up finish.
NOTES
- William Love earned his second career medalist honor and first since February 2023.
- Love torched the par-4s, tallying a tournament-best 6-under-par cumulative score on those holes.
- Daniel Choi recorded his best finish of the season with a tie for seventh, while also posting his low round of the season with a 68.
- Love and Choi placed third and fourth, respectively, in total birdies with 16 and 15.
- Duke's 12-under 276 in round one marked the lowest team round of the tournament and the Blue Devils' best team score in relation to par this season.
- The Blue Devils led the tournament field in par-4 scoring at 6-over-par, averaging 4.04 strokes per hole. Event host UNCW had the second-best scoring on par-4 holes at 11-over-par.
- Duke ranked second among the 15 teams with 58 total birdies.
- Freshman Charles Nelson carded his first collegiate eagle on the par-5, 507-yard 17th hole.
