DURHAM, N.C. – For the sixth consecutive year and the 33rd time in program history, the Duke men's tennis team will compete in the NCAA Team Championship, according to an announcement by the NCAA on Monday. The Blue Devils will travel to Norman, Oklahoma, for first and second round play.
Duke (15-13) will take on Southern California (18-7) at 2 p.m. Friday in the opening round. Ninth-seeded Oklahoma (18-6) host Utah State (19-5) at 5 p.m. Friday. The winners of the two matches will face each other at 6 p.m. Saturday.
The Blue Devils have played USC 12 times, going 5-7Â against the men of Troy. The last meeting was a 4-1Â Duke victory on February 17, 2024, at the ITA National Team Indoor Championship.
Duke owns an all-time NCAA Championship record of 52-31 and has advanced as far as the quarterfinals, reaching the round of eight in 1993, 1994, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2012 and 2013. When competing on the road, Duke boasts a 15-8 record in the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament.
Two Blue Devils have been led this season by junior Cooper Williams and senior Pedro Rodenas. Williams earned All-ACC Singles First Team accolades while Rodenas was named to the singles' second team for the fourth time in his career. Together, Williams and Rodenas were selected to the All-ACC Doubles First Team. The ACC honors are the third and fourth of Williams' career as he was a singles third team pick in 2025 and repeated as a doubles first team pick. In addition to Rodenas' four All-ACC singles selections, he was a first team doubles honoree for the third consecutive season.Â
This year's NCAA Team Championship will begin Friday, May 1, with the championship set for 16 days later on Sunday, May 17 at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Georgia.
