
Two Blue Devils Compete at UNC Invitational

Chapel Hill, N.C. - Two Blue Devils competed at the UNC Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C. over the weekend while the rest of the team were in Athens, Ga. for the Southern Intercollegiate Championships.
Alex Stone, a sophomore from Bronx, N.Y., fared well at the tournament. Stone lost his first match of the tournament on Friday to Radford's James Lloyd, but came back to win his next three matches in the consolation bracket. He won in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3 against Jack Notton of High Point. He then beat Wofford's Chris Barlow in straight sets 6-4, 6-2. In his final match of the tournament, he took on Wofford's Andrew Stubbs of Wofford in three sets. He rallied after losing 3-6 in the first set to win the next two 6-2, 10-8.
Stefan Rozycki, a senior from Modesto, Calif. went 0-2 in the tournament. He lost to Florent Wilpotte of Campbell 6-2, 6-2 and then Stubbs won by default to move on.
The Blue Devils will return to the courts on Thursday, Oct. 6 when they head to Tulsa, Okla. for the ITA All-American Tournament through Oct. 9.
