DURHAM, N.C. - The 20th-ranked Duke men's tennis team will wrap up its regular season at No. 48 North Carolina this Saturday, April 12, at 4 p.m.Â

The Blue Devils are 15-7 this season and 8-4 in conference matches. Duke is fourth in the ACC standings, tied with Virginia and Florida State.Â

RANKED NO. 20 AS A TEAMÂ

Duke was polled at No. 20 as a team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), as announced April 8. Nearly all men's tennis ACC schools appeared in the top-50 national rankings, including No. 1 Wake Forest, No. 5 NC State, No. 6 Virginia, No. 8 Stanford, No. 9 California, No. 19 Florida State, No. 24 Clemson, No. 35 Miami and No. 45 Georgia Tech.Â

Against the Golden Bears, Duke started strong by clinching the doubles point. Petrovic and Rodenas posted a dominant 6-2 win at the top spot. On court three, Dugardin and juniorÂ
Gerard Planelles Ripoll followed with a 6-4 victory to secure the 1-0 lead for the Blue Devils.

In singles, No. 47 Rodenas picked up a ranked win at the top spot and seniorÂ
Jake Krug battled through three sets for a victory on court six. However, Cal earned wins on courts two, three, four and five to clinch the victory.Â

In the match at Stanford, the Cardinal earned the doubles point with victories at the first and second positions. Stanford clinched the match with wins in singles on courts two, four and six.Â

HISTORY WITH NORTH CAROLINAÂ Â
Â
The Blue Devils will face the Tar Heels for the 141st time in series history. North Carolina leads the all-time series 95-45 and holds a 40-11 advantage when playing in Chapel Hill. However, Duke has won the last two meetings, earning a 5-2 victory at home and a 4-0 sweep in ACC Tournament play during the 2023-24 season.

UNC is 12-9 overall with a 6-6 mark in ACC matches, and is on a three-match losing streak, dropping matches to 4-0 to Florida State, Stanford and Cal.Â
