DURHAM, N.C. - On Sunday, October 18 the Duke men's tennis team paired with Harper's Home to benefit families at Duke Children's.
In collaboration with Marcelle and Jon Scheyer and the Duke Faculty Club, the pickleball and tennis mixer brought together Duke men's tennis head coach
Ramsey Smith and his student-athletes as well as members of the Duke community for a fun-filled afternoon supporting a meaningful cause.Â
The courts were busy throughout the afternoon with 75 participants playing tennis and pickleball. All nine members of the Duke men's tennis team joined in on the action. Participants enjoyed clinics, games and friendly competition. A silent auction featuring Duke items offered another opportunity to support Harper's Home.Â
Harper's Home was founded on the belief that when a child is fighting a life-threatening illness, their family should be by their side without the added worry of where to stay. The organization is committed to providing a supportive and affordable place for these families to call home during their child's treatment journey.
