CHAPEL HILL, N.C. ? The Duke men's tennis team concluded play at the 2008 Wilson/ITA Mideast Regional on Sunday at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center in Chapel Hill, N.C.
The Blue Devils had one remaining singles player and one doubles team left in the main draw heading into Sunday but neither would advance to Monday's rounds.
Kiril Dimitrov, who is ranked No. 103 in singles, drew a tough match against the top seed in the tournament and 18th-ranked player in the country in Dominic Inglot of Virginia. The two ranked players squared off in the round of 16 with Inglot claiming a straight set win 6-2, 6-1.
Christopher Price and Torsten Wietoska made the quarterfinals in doubles but ran in to the No. 3 seed in the tournament and 31st-ranked doubles team of Inglot and Michael Shabaz of Virginia. The Cavaliers' pair doubles up the Blue Devils, 8-4, to move on to the semifinals.
