Athens, Ga. ?The Blue Devils were in the second day of the Southern Intercollegiate Championships in Athens, Ga. on Saturday with some victories in both singles and doubles.
The doubles team of David Goulet and Christopher Price saw their first action of the tournament after receiving a bye in Friday's first round. Goulet and Price, the top seed in the Division I doubles bracket, edged out Wofford's George Kemodle and Andrew Stubbs in a tiebreaker, 9-8 (4) to advance to the round of 16.
In other doubles action, second seeded Dylan Arnould and Alain Michel suffered a loss in their first match of the weekend, falling to Amrit Narasimhan and Charlie Ramsay of Memphis, in a close 8-6 match.
